Em fotografia, Profundidade-de-Campo (do inglês, DoF) é o intervalo entre a distância mínima e a máxima, ao longo do eixo da lente, em que todos os objectos ficam focados. É fundamentalmente determinada pela abertura do diafragma, definido na lente ou na máquina.

O ensino nestes Workshops é orientado por projectos, definidos pelo João M. Gil, como formador e fotógrafo signatário responsável pelos DoFs. Servem para os participantes aprofundarem os seus conhecimentos na fotografia, seguindo desafios reais no campo, ligados ao trabalho que o João M. Gil vai desenvolvendo por si.

In photography, Depth-of-Field (DoF) is the interval between minimum and maximum distances, along the lens axis, in which all objects remain focused. It is mainly determined by the diaphragm aperture, defined at the lens or camera.

The teaching in these Workshops is project-oriented, within projects defined by João, as the responsible photographer and author of the DoFs.  These are for participants to deepen their knowledge on photography, following real in-the-field challenges. These are linked to the photography work that João is developing by himself.
